The infamous “no-makeup” makeup look has been trending across social media platforms. It is under the umbrella of the “clean girl aesthetic” that has become very popular. It can be easy to compare or feel left out when you see influencers creating these looks and living this clean/aesthetic lifestyle, but truthfully, it’s easy to achieve.
“My favorite part is the interaction between people who buy things from me,” Sartor said. “So when I get to do things like that, it’s when I really get excited about it.”
“I was taught that beauty is about perfecting the artist’s self-disappearance, cutting off the things we’re born with in order to be seen. Our individuality and self-emulation is beauty,” Alok said. “Beauty is about becoming yourself. There is no beauty standard.”
Generation Z has never lived in a world where the internet has not existed, which makes it “a force in business across industries, brands and digital platforms,” according to Forbes. This is why brands are very focused on marketing to Gen Z in the right way.
“I know that this is a trend, but we try to continuously find new things to keep people interested,” Walker said. “I foresee in the future maybe adding different things, I’m just not really sure right now, but we do keep thinking out of the box to keep it interesting and keep the momentum going.”
