“I think every tournament since the Aggie — even though the finishes might not be first — we know we’re getting better and starting to yield the fruit of hard work,” McGraw said. “We still have a long way to go to be the team we want to be, but you can feel the energy, so I love that.”

“Aggie was a big, big turning point for us,” Dossey said. “It was nice, because we played really good team golf. Everyone contributed a lot. A lot of us were in contention individually. Baylor women’s golf finished tied for third in the Veritex Bank Texas Showdown on Tuesday after a strong showing on day one, which helped the Bears find poll position and win the stroke-play portion. The Bears finished match-play with a 5-1 loss to SMU in Tuesday’s morning session and followed that up with a 2.5-2.5 tie against UCF on at the Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas.
