While campus may be quiet during the summer months, Waco is certainly not on pause. Here are some of the best things to put on your Waco itinerary that happen each week, and some things to look forward to so there’s always something to do.
The Atkins Tent Revival & SUNNN | April 29 | 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Bridge Street Plaza, 200 E Bridge St. | As part of the 2023 Levitt AMP Waco Music Series, The Atkins Tent Revival and SUNNN, a band of Baylor students, will bring a splash of sound to Bridge Street.
Festivities to kick of the reopening of Waco’s iconic bridge will include live music and a drone show. The official ribbon-cutting will take place Saturday, followed by a longhorn cattle-driving across the bridge.
Get caught up the magic of Broadway, with performances of iconic show tunes sung by Emmy, Tony, Grammy and SAG award nominees.

Baylor students looking forward to fresh, local grocery shopping on campus will have to wait a semester. The upcoming farmers market event scheduled for Friday has been canceled from complications with obtaining the proper permits for participating vendors.
While there’s plenty to see around Baylor’s property, attractions await in the city that holds its campus. From local eats to stadium seats, the city of Waco is filled with enough Texan culture and history to please any visitor.

The farmers market will bring some of its vendors to campus from 3 to 6 p.m. today. The vendors will be in Traditions Plaza between the Bill Daniel Student Center and Carroll Science Hall. Environmentally-conscious organizations from both Baylor and the Waco community will also have booths on campus at this time.
Finally, Waco has a place for residents to buy fresh, farm-grown products from a variety of local vendors close to campus. After its grand opening last Saturday, the Waco Downtown Farmers Market had a great response from locals and college students.
