One of Baylor’s longstanding traditions returned for another year of on-campus fun as students flocked to Fountain Mall to enjoy food, games, activities and a concert from artist Joshua Bassett.

While it may be allergy season, another time of year is quietly creeping in — kitten season. Typically spanning from early spring to late fall, kitten season marks a surge in feline births, leading to a significant influx of newborn kittens and mother cats at shelters and rescues.

Walking into Sagrado Cocina & Bar feels like stepping into an intimate garden party wrapped in modern elegance. The lighting is dim and moody, casting soft shadows over a rich palette of deep greens, blush pinks and creamy whites. Oversized floral installations bloom above and around you, adding a romantic, whimsical touch to the sleek, contemporary space.

Baylor University announced this morning that one of the biggest names in Christian contemporary music, Lauren Daigle, will be coming to Baylor to perform at Foster Pavilion in the fall. That makes Daigle the second of a ten-show series that will be taking place at Foster Pavilion over the next two years.

“Malcolm Todd” is a collection of songs that is chock-full of emotions. Whether that be feelings of inadequacy, confidence, longing, betrayal or adoration, Todd masterfully expresses and projects them all into song form. I found that all of my favorites from this album also seemed to be the ones where Todd seemed to be spinning out of control and pouring out his heart. These allow the listener a peek into how he sees, feels and thinks — a picture of beautiful chaos.

A once-in-a-lifetime eclipse which occurred over last year’s Diadeloso leaves this year’s celebration with standards that will be hard to top. Luckily, between Joshua Bassett and multiple unique attractions, the schedule for the “state fair” themed holiday on Tuesday will be packed.

If you haven’t already filled up your schedule for next week with Diadeloso fun, here are some more to add to the calendar. Embrace the nostalgia by attending a show featuring one of the most iconic Y2K bands, Bowling for Soup, try rooftop yoga or indulge in some delicious dishes at the Texas Food Truck Showdown.

At its core, Reacher is a power fantasy. It lets its audience imagine a world where injustice doesn’t go unpunished — where a six-foot-three giant like Reacher can show up and save the day whenever needed. It’s this same fantasy that made season one a smash hit years ago. While season three tries to go back to the same basics that made it popular, it unfortunately falls short of the high standard’s set.

Fountain Mall will be abuzz with dancing, games and good food on Friday night for Fiesta, an annual event put on by the Hispanic Student Association (HSA) and Baylor Activities Council (BAC). The celebration will run from 6-9 p.m and welcomes attendees from all cultural backgrounds.

The right playlist is necessary to set the tone for a day like Díadeloso. While the sun is out and classes are canceled, you’ll need the perfect songs to kick your day off right. Hungry for a good story? The Waco-McLennan County Library is hosting its third Annual Edible Book Festival, inviting bakers of all ages to create edible representations of a book, literary figure, character, pun or plot.

One of the biggest new names in Christian contemporary music, Forrest Frank, will be paying a visit to the Foster Pavilion this spring at 7 p.m. on April 22. This concert, which still has tickets ready for the taking, will kick off the first of many musical performances occurring at Baylor over the next two years.

Zeta Tau Alpha will host its annual Pie-A-Prez event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, inviting presidents from organizations across Baylor’s campus to participate by getting pied in the face on Fountain Mall. This year, the event aims to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and education, specifically early detection of breast cancer using AI technological advances.

Baylor Flowers, which was previously located at a shopping center on the corner of 16th St. and Speight Ave., now resides on the corner of 11th St. and La Salle Ave. in its new permanent location.
