SGAF funding can be used for all types of campus groups, ranging from Greek organizations to cultural clubs and anything in between. The SGAF has provided funding for events like Pi Beta Phi’s “Howdy,” fraternity car washes, and even a luau. El Paso senior and Student Senate Finance Chair Aron Basurto said that Student Government prides itself on the diversity of the events it has funded.

Homecoming is upon us! Here is the ultimate list of happenings to attend during your weekend. From rallies to revues, performances to pumpkin patches, games to gatherings this lineup assures none will be bored. The question is: can you hit them all?

Some of the events that the Latinx Coalition organized to commemorate this month, included a Hispanic Heritage Month trivia questionnaire, luncheon, loteria, compra local, career workshop, karaoke night, Noche de Rezo worship session, mariachi masterclass and Festival de Desayuno, as reported by the Multicultural Affairs Office.

This weekend, Waco is still buzzing with some of the same shows, festivals and activities as the last. Whether you prefer to enjoy the changing season in the comfort of an air-conditioned theater or strolling out in the sunshine, we’ve got you covered.

Several voices could be heard singing and echoing throughout the Bill Daniel Student Center on Thursday evening. Shortly after the singing stopped, thunderous applause lasted for several minutes. The building was filled with laughter and cheers as faculty, staff and students gathered around to watch the performances at the Black Student Welcome.

Whether you’re an upcoming freshman with no prior experience with CAE credits or a rising senior frantically attempting to fulfill the requirements before graduation, there is no shortage of opportunities from all across the board to either get a headstart or cap off your CAE journey before walking the stage!

Summer is approaching, and while campus might be gradually emptying, Waco is blooming with upcoming events. Whether you’re visiting, living in Waco or taking summer classes, the following list includes something for everyone, from music events to tours of the city.

At this point in the year, the combination of academics, work, internships and other school-oriented responsibilities can leave students swamped, and the light at the end of the tunnel can seem to grow frustratingly dim. Seasonal affective disorder is also coming into full swing, and it hits some people harder than others. While seasonal depression often requires more in-depth treatment, giving yourself plans to anticipate can certainly serve as a way to cope with the winter blues.

Baylor events, in my experience, have the tendency to be dismissed as hot, loud and overcrowded gatherings that will in no way add to one’s Baylor experience. While all of these descriptions can make school events seem less appealing, I think attending them significantly adds to the Baylor experience.
