The low hum of steel guitars and neon-lit nostalgia will soon echo through Foster Pavilion. On Oct. 2, Baylor will trade sneakers and basketballs for cowboy boots and two-stepping when rising country artist Braxton Keith brings his high-and-lonesome Texas sound to Waco with the “Real Damn Deal” tour.
Despite technological developments, car culture remains significant. It is a link to the past, a tribute to man’s creativity and an avenue for self-expression. As a once capstone of American culture, car culture is more than just the machines. The passion this community shares collectively is fundamental to preserving its history and rich influence.
These decisive actions are exactly what the American people voted for in 2024. It is great to see a president prioritizing national security and law enforcement instead of other less critical initiatives. While the implementation of these orders has and will face undue opposition from the left, everyone in the Trump administration seems to understand how bad the situation at the border is.
The two-block stretch, beginning at the intersection of Bagby and Fifth Street followed by the Bagby and Fourth Street intersection, is something I dread. It’s the ultimate patience tester.
In a world that focuses on release dates and what the newest albums have to offer, it feels like we have lost interest in re-discovering music from the past.

With All-University Sing on the horizon, and the level of competition increasing each year, it is natural to feel some sense of comparison versus other competitors and chapters. But, as a Panhellenic community, we should be uplifting and cheering on our fellow chapters.
