Midterm elections are just around the corner, and Americans all across the country will be casting their ballot. To help students make their voices heard through their vote, Baylor Ambassadors, in collaboration with Student Government and over 10 student organizations, will host a free voter registration drive Tuesday and Sept. 30.

On May 2, 2025, Version2.ai announced in a LinkedIn post that it had partnered with Baylor to develop and implement a Virtual Engagement Officer (VEO) called Faith. The artificial intelligence agent curates donor interactions and engages them with the university.
Dr. Ashley K. Barrett from the communication department said that AI can be used in “a beneficial way and ethical way, or can be a tool that we use more in a non-virtuous way,” but that Baylor has the ability to “figure out what that means and how that manifests at a Christian-based university.”
As artificial intelligence rapidly changes, the business school’s classroom experience changes with it. The school emphasizes a foundation in ethics so that humans and machines can work hand in hand to accomplish great things.
Piper Professor honoree Dr. Stephen Sloan has spent his time in the classroom telling and listening to others’ stories, a philosophy that has guided his work at the Institute for Oral History.
As Dr. Richard Rankin Russell takes over as director of University Scholars, he said he wants to lead the program by fostering a culture of J.O.Y. The acronym was coined by current Baylor basketball coach Scott Drew and stands for “Jesus, others and yourself last.”
On Thursday, returning students helped new students transition to life at Baylor with Move2BU. Volunteers, students and parents felt the heat along with all the emotions that come with starting a new school year.
