First, it’s of utmost importance to have something to sip on in my cupholder at all times. When I drive back home on break, I make sure to stop by the Whataburger in the Grease Pit for an ice-cold Dr Pepper before I get to moving down I-35.

Texas has a lot of biodiversity in terms of climate and geography, from mountains and deserts out west, forests and gulf plains in the east and the beautiful hill country in between.
While most Bears go off to have their own adventures during spring break, North Russell Residence Hall residents stick together for their travels. This year, Baylor and Beyond, the living learning community at North Russell, will travel to the east coast for a week in New York City.
For many students, a spring break staycation provides the perfect opportunity to catch up or get ahead on work, binge watch their favorite shows, explore their community and get some much needed rest.
As campus prepares to take off on spring break adventures, our Arts and Life desk is no different. Here is where we plan to let this vacation take us.
For a more unique experience, take your Valentine to the park, specifically Mouth of the Bosque. There are tons of trails and it’s next to the river. Grab yourself a picnic blanket or take a seat at the gazebo to create the perfect evening.
Hong Kong sophomore Taylor Chung, secretary of ASA, said the importance of this event is to represent and share Asian heritage with the entire Baylor community. Chung said it’s important to allow students to understand and learn about this culture in a familiar environment.
The show has featured Waco Police Department’s Chief of Police Sheryl Victoria, Cha Community owner Jaja Chen, Waco councilwoman Kelly Palmer and others. Their new season will feature the family of Justin Bibles, who was murdered in front of a Red Lobster resturant in Waco in 2018, and a highlight on the Waco ISD school board.
Stepping into the album itself, we have a tracklist that is only half developed as of this moment since the late 2022 project awaits its second release due to the newfound fame from opening for Harry Styles on his most recent tour.
“We didn’t even know if Baylor would let us on campus, especially in a way so ingrained in the common day… but they told us to stay as long as we want,” Aniceto Charles Jr. said.

Drawing inspiration from the beauty of Baylor’s campus, Stokes painted a series of works over the COVID-19 lockdown, many depicting Pat Neff Hall. Because the campus was so empty at the time, Stokes said she was able to bring her supplies to the peaceful campus and create several open-air paintings under the sun.
2023 is the year of the rabbit, a symbol of hope and prosperity. Given the last two years, the luck of the rabbit is much needed. Thanks to East Market and Goods, the Waco community was able to experience just that.
While neither entrepreneurs envisioned owning a coffee shop as their ‘when I grow up’ trope, they have successfully created a brand that has spread kindness throughout the Waco community.
“You may be looking at your notes and just reading them over and over and over, and that is not the most effective way to study,” said Baum. “That’s where I come in and show them when to study and how to study effectively so hopefully they don’t lose their mind.”

Besides the discrepancies, I always enjoy “Emily in Paris” because it’s entertaining and the culture is seen through the lens of a bright-eyed, workaholic American. The writers do a wonderful job of incorporating the language, food, fashion and lifestyle of the French.
