It’s cuffing season. The season consisting of sorority and fraternity formals, flannel and the look of desperation. If you’ve looked everywhere and still can’t find your perfect match, the immediate instinct is to go on a dating app. Before you get swept off your feet, consider proceeding with caution.

To reference one of Frank Ocean’s songs, Facebook Story is about how a guy didn’t accept his girlfriend’s friend request. She accused him of cheating and not loving her enough. This song highlights how social media can distort trust and create insecurities in relationships — emphasizing the role that digital interactions play in shaping modern romantic dynamics.

Long-distance relationships take a lot of effort. Don’t feel worried if you feel like you can’t make it work. Every couple has their own needs and preferences, and as long as you are both putting in time and effort, your relationship will thrive.

When it comes to finding a significant other, things may look different for LGBTQ+ students at private Christian universities. Members of Gamma Alpha Upsilon, an unaffiliated LGBTQ+ advocacy group at Baylor, said being in an openly queer relationship is especially complicated at Baylor.

Having sex is OK and completely natural, and waiting to have sex until marriage is OK as well. However, it’s important for everyone to understand that skipping from the dating stage to marriage just to have sex is setting them up for failure.

It’s the beginning of a potential blossoming relationship, and all you feel are butterflies. This could be it. This could be the one. He seems perfect on paper, and the chemistry is undeniable … but you two greatly differ when it comes to your interests, hobbies, future goals and, most importantly, individual value systems. Say what you want about the drift away from casual dating, but my grandmother and grandfather have been married for over 50 years, so there might be something to it. Next time a guy cancels on a date because he feels under the weather, just pick the next number on your contact list and enjoy a “perfectly good Friday night.”

Save yourself some time, energy and money, and take a step back to set your priorities in order. Don’t think every woman you flirt with is “the one.”

Tinder, the dating app that caught fire on college campuses all across America, has made its mark on Baylor. Whether someone is looking for a friendly date, a hookup or simply an ego boost, Tinder makes it easy to find the perfect match with a simple left or right, “yes” or “no” swipe of the thumb. App dating’s simplicity is its strength, although the simplicity of it could be viewed by many as superficiality.

Disney princesses are idolized for their enchanting love stories among evil forces. They are known for their poise as well as magnificent dresses and hair. However, the princesses’ hair is the only thing I envy about them.

It’s not official until it’s Facebook official. The way college students and young adults date in the 21st century is completely different than how previous generations approached dating.

It was simpler back when parents were our age and dating in college. A boy saw a girl he liked, talked to her and got her number. Then if he wanted to get to know her more, he would call her, and they went on a date. If the date went well, they would go on another one. If not, they went their separate ways.
