Lynnette Geary has operated the instrument since 1996 and has served as university carillonneur since 2006. In addition to playing the instrument, Geary has two students. One of them, Dr. Paul Hagelstein, is not only a student of the carillon but also a professor of mathematics.

Baylor football racked up 603 yards as it stormed past Kansas, 45-17, on Saturday afternoon at McLane Stadium. It was the first time Baylor accumulated more than 600 yards against a Big 12 opponent since Nov. 25, 2016, when the Bears totaled 634 against Texas Tech.

No. 17 Baylor volleyball went up against Texas Tech on Wednesday night at the Ferrell Center. After a hard-fought match, the Bears took the match in a sweep, 29-27, 25-18, 25-18, recovering after the losing their eight-match win streak last week.
The Bears (3-1) honed in on the defensive side of the ball, where junior forward Bella Fontleroy had a career-high five blocks. Head coach Nicki Collen’s team finished with 23 points off turnovers after forcing 11 steals and swatting away nine shots.

A recent study found that Waco is among the top 10 emerging housing markets in the nation. This statistic isn’t surprising considering the area’s massive increase in popularity, likely due to a combination of Baylor and Magnolia. With Memorial and Alexander Halls undergoing construction this year and Allen and Dawson Halls being slated for next, a renovation of Kokernot is still in the distance. After living in Kokernot my freshman year, I can safely say the residence hall needs major updates.
So, was it unbearably hot? Absolutely. Did I wait for three hours? You bet. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. The Baylor Line is not just about running to hype up the football team; it’s about camaraderie, tradition and the unforgettable memories and friends you make along the way.

I now know by heart how to make the best macaroni and cheese. To make the best dish, you must genuinely love the people you’re preparing it for. Love them enough to set ample time aside and to create an organized plan to begin the process. A rushed, cheesy macaroni dish will strip it of its best-tasting potential, creating only a tolerable, half-liked cooking reputation for yourself.
It’s 9:05 a.m. on a Monday. You take your seat in your first class and get ready for at least three surface-level class friends to ask how your weekend was. But while you hear others rattling off the frat parties they went to, you have nothing to talk about except a movie marathon, homework and more than one late-night trip to the Grease Pit — and that’s just fine.

Baylor marched into Reliant Stadium hoping to claim the first Baylor bowl victory since 1992. Unfortunately the Illinois Fighting Illini had other ideas, blowing past the Bears, 38-14. It was a tough lesson, but one that will fuel the team as it heads into the offseason.
