The question many Californians now have is how the state will rebuild and adapt for the next wildfire season. As of late, the wildfires have not been obeying the typical laws of nature. The wildfire season, which typically runs from May to October, has become more of a suggestion than a hard-set date.

“There’s an awareness that the words you share could be used by God to shape the future of thousands of lives,” Pokluda said. “My desired goal is always to point people to Jesus and to remind them that their lives matter in His story. Speaking at Passion is an opportunity to pour into the next generation of leaders, and that responsibility is one I don’t take lightly.”

“Everyone believed we [were] going to win; I did, and we fought to try and get that win,” said Aranda. “Guys were playing through pain, discomfort, and all that. All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The event was created in response to TPUSA’s presence on campus, but speakers and organizers consistently emphasized that the gathering was not merely reactive. Instead, it functioned as a faith-centered call to action, rooted in Christian teaching and expressed through civic engagement.

For as long as I can remember, society has enforced the idea that being basic is bad or shameful, and being too different is just as embarrassing.

While trying to juggle all the activities, clubs and classes of my senior year, I have recently begun the torturous process of switching from a night owl to an early bird. To my surprise, these two birds are very different.

Instead of seeing this story fade out of the Baylor community’s minds over the next couple of days, we need to understand that this tragedy is also a time for us to remember that this could affect anyone.
