After the season opener filled the Baylor Line to capacity, the wave of golden jerseys looked thinner at the second and third home football games. The shift sparked online scrutiny from upperclassmen who say enthusiasm is fading too fast after Baylor’s 4-4 start to the season.

Many students reported receiving an email from the Waco Hall Ticket Office Sunday. The email warned that because the student bought tickets for one of the first three home football games and didn’t attend, one more occurrence would delay them in purchasing tickets for the Homecoming game Nov. 1.

While people outside of the fanbase see us as poor, unfortunate souls grasping onto false hope, they overlook the characteristics that make a Cowboys fan a Cowboys fan — and believe it or not there are many appealing characteristics and qualities about us.

You shouldn’t be paying an extra $15-30 per month to watch a couple of games a month. Spend that time watching your team at any place, like a restaurant, that plays live sports. Sports, in its existence, was something to be enjoyed by groups of people together — it’s not an exclusive individual hobby.
