A Baylor football season filled with the oddest of highs and strangest of lows has come to an end. The Bears will miss out on postseason play, falling short of a bowl game with a 5-7 final record.

Men's Basketball
The top-ranked recruit in Baylor history will almost certainly become the program’s highest NBA draft pick ever come June. But before he hears his name called, he’ll lead the Bears in their sixth straight NCAA Tournament.
The Bears jumped up a seed line after a strong finish to the season. They’ll take on Chris Jans’ Bulldogs (21-12, 8-10) Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Head coach Scott Drew and the Bears (18-13, 10-10 Big 12) led for 17 1/2 minutes before the Cougars (27-4, 19-1 Big 12) stumbled upon a 20-4 run in the second half to build its only double-digit lead of the night. The green and gold rallied back to bring the game within two but couldn’t overcome a 34% shooting night.
Women's Basketball
The graduate student point guard is on pace to become one of the program’s top-10 all-time scorers.
“I’m not afraid to say I was really, really offended by the article that came out,” Collen said. “And I didn’t read any of it. … Don’t know what happened. Didn’t read the article. But nothing is withering in Waco. … And we’re going to do it our way. And it’s going to be just as good.”
Rooted in an underdog mentality, it was seemingly No. 5 seed Baylor women’s basketball versus the world. Despite trailing by six at halftime, the Bears hit seven of their next nine shots and had No. 1 seed USC on the ropes. However, Baylor missed its first eight shots in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Trojans to stomp back and end the Bears’ run in the Sweet 16 by a score of 74-70 on Saturday at the Moda Center.

Tennis
Baylor men’s tennis is going dancing for the 25th-consecutive season. The Bears will match up with Florida State University in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championships on either Friday or Saturday in the Columbia region.
The Bears will have to defeat the Mustangs for the second time in less than a month when the two squads face off at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Mitchell Tennis Center in Bryan-College Station.
The Bears came up short of advancing to the Big 12 Championship semifinals, as they fell 4-2 to the Sooners on Friday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan.
Golf
Led by strong freshmen performances, as well as solid senior leadership, the Bears opened their spring season with a win in Houston Monday.
Baylor tennis and women’s golf have been selected as postseason host sites for May 2025 and May 2026.
Women’s golf continues to dominate the fall season, sweeping the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin over the weekend.
