While the U.S. was wrapping up its own governmental crisis at home, world leaders prepared to take the stage at the annual United Nations Climate Change Conference. America, China and India chose not to send formal delegates to the conference this year, a controversial move as three of the world’s largest polluters.
Whether it’s eating turkey in the U.S., lighting lanterns on campus, watching a harvest parade in Germany or cooking yams in Ghana, communities near and far celebrate their harvest and community throughout the fall season.
“We want as many students as possible to be able to engage in meaningful service,” Sarah Walker, senior coordinator for service at Baylor Spiritual Life, said. “It’s a very tangible way of living out your faith.”

History professor Dr. Daniel J. Watkins was just selected to be one of 20 members on the National Humanities Council for the 2025-26 academic year. Watkins and other members from 12 states will collaborate to plan and promote NHC resources for various universities and programs.

Baylor volleyball was reeling two weeks ago after dropping three of its first four conference matches. The Bears have swept their last three, capped off by an upset over No. 10 TCU in Fort Worth.
For a chilly October night game, the stands and student section were packed with Baylor fans donned in black. It seemed like everyone showed up to this highly anticipated Revivalry game, with the exception of the Bears’ offense.
Baylor could not deliver against rival TCU in front of over 46,000 fans at McLane Stadium, failing to reach the end zone for the first time this season in 17-6 loss.

Long-distance relationships take a lot of effort. Don’t feel worried if you feel like you can’t make it work. Every couple has their own needs and preferences, and as long as you are both putting in time and effort, your relationship will thrive.
AI grows more capable and sophisticated each day, making it all the more enticing and convenient for students to use as they earn their education. But, with such a high-powered tool at our fingertips, setting boundaries around its use is more important than ever.
Don’t stick to the “blow-off” courses. Stray from the pack when it comes to picking an elective.
After hanging out with people, I often found myself trying to fit a mold that I thought people wanted to see at Baylor, which made me like a lot of things about myself less. If this happens, remember to celebrate others’ differences from yours. Appreciate who they are, not who you aren’t.
