There are prehealth workshops like this throughout the semester. The next two are on March 3 and March 17. According to the registration page, the March 3 workshop will provide trail mix to “savor the admissions experience,” and the March 17 workshop is called “How to Be a One in a Melon Applicant” and will provide sour watermelon candies to students who attend.

Wright pointed to hands-on learning as essential to not only a practical way to truly understand one’s work, but also as a way to gain practical experience in the field of management consulting. He said that students ought to be able to include the class –– during which they split into groups to partner with local businesses –– on resumes just like any consulting internship.

Baylor department of art and art history hosted “Concept is King! The Design Summit 2025” Wednesday morning for students, faculty and the public. The event included three keynote speakers with varying backgrounds in design or technology who spoke about artificial intelligence usage in their work.

In its 173 years of history, Baylor appointed Dr. Linda Livingstone as the first female president of the university in 2017. At the time, Livingstone didn’t want her gender to matter as much as her qualifications. But she found that as a woman, leading the university out of an infamous scandal meant more to her community than she’d realized.

Even after graduating six seniors, Baylor women’s basketball opens the season with experience at its core. Four-year veterans are carrying the culture and expectations that head coach Nicki Collen believes will define the program.

This week, Multicultural Affairs partnered up with organizations like the Hispanic Student Association (HSA), the Latin Dance Society and Better Together to host. A monthly Neighbor Nights event that highlights different cultures and creates a space for students from diverse cultural backgrounds and Christian faiths to come together.

People who say things like “this stuff happens” don’t fully understand what families of both parties go through after a tragedy like having a loved one killed in a shooting. We, as a country and society, need to improve our laws and background checks not only for future generations but also for victims of all the major and minor shootings that have happened.

As an individual who is pretty heavily entrenched in the world of journalism, both personally and academically, I spend a considerable amount of time thinking about the future of journalism and the challenges in it. Any time I am asked about this topic, two issues seem to overwhelmingly dominate the conversation: news bias and artificial intelligence.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not immune to this feeling, and neither are 75% of people. But I have implemented some more positive ways of thinking that have completely changed my perspective. The first step? Realizing comparison is the thief of joy.

With a variety of fast food options at our fingertips, it’s easy to overlook local food options when treating yourself to a meal out. However, Waco has lots of affordable, healthy and delicious food options within a few miles of campus.
