Go Global, a program in the Department of Missions and Public Life, offers over 40 different mission trip opportunities in more than 20 locations. The one- to two-week experiences offer students the opportunity to assist communities in locations ranging from Texas to the other side of the globe.

Baylor’s chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) will be hosting its annual national fall conference in person for the first time since the onset of COVID-19. It will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in Cashion 506.

College is ridiculously expensive, and it’s impossible for students who aren’t sitting upon piles of cash to spend their time outside of class dedicated to something that doesn’t offer anything in return. Experience just isn’t enough anymore.

For the Nov. 8 election, the deadline to request an absentee ballot from one’s home county is Friday, Oct. 28 by 5 p.m. Should a student prefer to vote in McLennan County, they must make the county their permanent residence by Oct. 11, this is also the deadline to register to vote.

Streaming has revolutionized the way we consume media, and while it is very friendly to subscribers, streaming can negatively impact creators and is creating a trend that could lead to negative outcomes.

“We’re trying to cater to the students in town,” Hao said. “So introducing new spicy foods is one thing that we’ve done. Giving a 10% discount for all students of local universities as well as first responders, to show them that we’re part of the community. In general, we have a lot of things planned up.”

If you’re jealous of someone or something, you aren’t a bad person; you’re average. In fact, it’s even been reported as a positive thing in certain situations.

Jobs — we all need them. Whether we like it or not, we all need a way to make money. No matter your background, most students need to get jobs, whether it’s an internship, a work-study job or a temporary job to just help bring in some cash.
