For the first time in program history, Baylor soccer hosted Arizona Thursday night at Betty Lou Mays Field. Fighting against an aggressive offense, the Bears dropped the tight contest, 1-0.

For 1,000 years, Boethius’ book — “The Consolation of Philosophy” — was the second most-read book in the world behind the Bible since his death in A.D. 524, Murray said. However, in the past few centuries, fewer and fewer people have read it, and as a result, fewer people remember who Boethius was.
“I’m trying to just educate people on some of the cultural traditions of the ancient world,” he said. “I think people really find some commonalities and they can identify a lot with these cultures.”
“The main changes with the new form should be really helpful once they get all of the kinks worked out. The fact that parents and students can each file their own form with the Department of Education then connecting those together is really helpful,” Rounke said.
“Part of the function of the Accounting Society is just bringing in professionals whose background is in accounting and exploring how their careers went so you have a better picture of what your future might be,” Carpenter said.

Recidivism refers to how often people reenter the justice system after their first offense. Texas reports a 21% recidivism rate as of 2022, well below the national average of 68%. Despite this, Judge Rob Swanton of the specialty courts said there is a lack of funding and a shortage of mental health providers for these individuals.

“It’s a very ambitious plan, but it’s the right plan for Baylor at this time,” Brickhouse said.
As esports grows across the nation, Baylor hopes to integrate its already successful program with university resources and branding.
Reviving an old Big 12 Conference competition, Baylor football is set to meet Colorado after a 14-year hiatus in the national limelight against Coach Prime. While head coach Deion Sanders’ Buffaloes have been on at prime time since he took over the program in 2023, the Bears have stumbled off the national stage.
“[If you] remind yourself it isn’t real and temper your thoughts… then that can take a little bit of the power away from it, but it definitely still does have an influence,” Bates said.
“Y’all [have] more years ahead of you than the rest of us do, and so I want students to take control,” Henry said. “You have a voice, and I want students to use it.”
