Given the upcoming general election in the United States, Self said now is the time that students can learn about the importance of voting on a smaller scale at school, so that their voice can be heard both on campus as well as at the local, state and federal levels.

According to a press release issued by Cierra Shipley, a spokesperson for Waco PD, Odiong was arrested on July 16 by the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force. The arrest stemmed from a charge of possession of child pornography.

In Big 12 football, every week is another chance to prove yourself. For Baylor football, Saturday’s 11 a.m. matchup against No. 22 BYU at McLane Stadium isn’t just about bouncing back but also proving that losses won’t string together like they did in the previous two seasons.

In 1894, when a young Baylor student was sexually assaulted in the university president’s backyard, she was referred to as “that Brazilian girl.” Today, the name Antônia Teixeira is a symbol of resilience in the face of the institutional oppression which Baylor played a regrettable role in, according to a lecture in the Baylor Libraries Author Series.

With the premiere of “Dancing With The Stars” on Sept. 17, fans of the show made “Anna Delvey’s Lackluster DWTS Debut” viral on X. They weren’t impressed, and neither were we. Why should a criminal fighting deportation from ICE be allowed to perform alongside Olympians and the newest Bachelorette?

It’s no secret Perry’s latest album, “143,” which was released on Sept. 20, has not been well-received by the general public, pop music fans and even some of Perry’s most dedicated followers. The restaurant has a gas station theme and features an array of vintage cars, signs and hubcaps within its dining area.

“We will be looking for more ways to enhance affordability, and growing our endowment is one of the best ways to do that, so [Student] Foundation scholarships are certainly critical,” Livingstone said. “The Student Foundation has done a tremendous amount of work to raise funds for student scholarships… They are wonderful ambassadors for our campus.”

“Obviously, try to first pursue what you like because you want to enjoy what you’re doing,” Thakkar said. “But at the end of the day, don’t stress too much about your major because you can easily change within the business school. You’re taking the same core classes for the most part, so just go with your gut because there’s a lot of flexibility.”

Often when students decide what to major in, there’s pressure that it will dictate what you do for the rest of your life. That’s a myth. Whatever you choose to major in should be a topic that interests you and a topic that you will be able to excel in.

This week’s selection of Tunesday songs are not exactly cheery, but they are worth a listen. We’re switching over to a more glum, acoustic vibe with tunes from Bon Iver and Lizzy McAlpine, and sorrowful reflection to a beat from Bad Bunny. Perhaps this week is a chance to slow it down and wallow for a while, and that’s okay.
