Last weekend, music fans worldwide got strategically bombarded with new releases from some of the industry’s hottest artists. Don’t thank Beyoncé for this one — thank the Grammys and Valentine’s Day. Whether you were jamming out to love songs or heartbreak hits on Friday, here are the highlights.
“I think Hawaii just had a really big impact on music,” Siegfried said. “For me, it’s a very music culture-like island, and I went to a school of the arts for basically my whole life, from first grade to senior year of high school. And I think just being around a lot of students that were passionate about art, and it was a school of arts that was like painting, acting, dancing, like it was just, I was immersed in that art culture.”
On Tuesday night at Common Grounds, under a full rainbow in the sky and tree branches above dripping with rainwater, Christian artist Luke Bower and his band put on a show for Baylor students. Despite the puddles on the picnic tables, students gathered around the band like a campfire, filling the backyard of the coffee shop.
Center for Global Engagement ambassadors provide resources and mentorship for international students all year round. Ambassadors help put on initiatives and events for international students and are focused on welcoming them and connecting them to the Baylor community.
Although it’s easy to miss them on walks to class, the red granite lampposts scattered around campus commemorate Baylor men and women who served the United States — many of whom died in combat.
