President Linda Livingstone addressed faculty and staff in a campus-wide message detailing the financial review and the adjustments that were made. According to Livingstone, colleges all over the country are having a hard time right now because fewer students are enrolling, prices are going up and new rules are being made.
In building truly meaningful relationships, there is a connection between vulnerability and trust, where the success of one is likewise dependent on the success of the other. Associate Chaplain and Director for Chapel Rev. Dr. Erin Moniz encouraged her audience to consider how this shapes all types of relationships.

After dropping a game to No. 21 Texas State, the Bears headed down to Austin on a rainy day, leading to a delayed kickoff. The Bears were able to storm back with two unanswered goals to outlast Texas 2-1 Thursday night.
With a mix of the old and the new, No. 21 Baylor volleyball looks to make its 11th straight NCAA Tournament this year by keeping each other accountable.
While most of Baylor’s defense will be new this upcoming season, the linebacker room will be bringing back key players from a year ago. The linebackers look to be a consistent presence on a brand new defense.
Fifth-year offensive lineman Kaden Sieracki and junior Koltin Sieracki got a glimpse of playing on the same line, just like in high school. As the only returning offensive linemen, their bond has helped the transfer-heavy unit.

All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The event was created in response to TPUSA’s presence on campus, but speakers and organizers consistently emphasized that the gathering was not merely reactive. Instead, it functioned as a faith-centered call to action, rooted in Christian teaching and expressed through civic engagement.

ARTS & LIFE
With the first week of classes almost out of the way, it’s time to put down the syllabi and take a breather. Here are some local events to try out before your classwork gets too crazy.
The top priority is understanding that it takes courage to speak up in a government-created society of censorship. Cancel culture is not doing anyone favors. Stand firm in your opinion and be loud in your delivery, and as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
I’m slowly learning that hobbies don’t owe me anything — not content, not income and not a line on my resume. They’re supposed to give, not take. Maybe the best thing a college student can do right now is to keep something private and useless — read a book you’ll never post about, dance in a dorm room with no camera on, paint a banner that no one pays for. Joy doesn’t need a price tag to matter.
After my diagnosis with POTS, I had to figure out the best way to still be able to function. After I started to properly and consistently take care of myself, I realized the most important priority is self-care.
Baylor should absolutely celebrate its traditions, its faith and, of course, its close-knit culture. Those things are what’s worth holding onto. However, if the goal is to nurture students who can make an impact anywhere, Baylor has to challenge us to grow beyond the Baylor bubble. Otherwise, we risk being prepared solely for life here and not for the life that awaits us all after we leave.
Instead of wasting our time attempting to solve the great question of why there’s evil and suffering in the world, we should take a step away from our logical mindsets and step into a mindset of empathy.
One of the best parts of being music fans is supporting our favorite artists. We buy and listen to their music, share their new releases with our friends and make sure to purchase front row tickets for every show. Well, maybe not that last part, but for many fans, simply getting into the building to see their favorite artists can be a challenge.
