A 20-year-old organization at Baylor, the African Student Association aims to connect students of all races with their cultures, working to overcome the challenges its minority members face on campus and beyond.
After incoming freshmen are notified of their acceptance to Baylor, they have until May 1 to submit their deposit. The Golden Wave Band uses the few weeks between the deposit deadline and the start of freshman advising in early June to reach out to any committed freshmen who may have band experience in their background.
“I was honored to receive the award from the Federation of Associations in Behavioral & Brain Sciences (FABB),” Ginty said via email. “FABB’s goal of communicating science with policy makers and the public is something I value greatly as a scientist and educator.”
In film and digital media classes like production methods II (PMII) and short film production, students are exposed to the process of making short films, preparing them for their careers at Baylor and beyond.
