“We ask that students converse with other Baylor students who come from different backgrounds, so that everyone can better understand how systemic inequalities and identities come to fruition,” Serrato said.
“The big challenge that all of us have right now is that we’re getting inundated with information all the time,” Rachel Velasco, community engagement coordinator for KWBU, said. “How can you know who wants you to hear that message? There’s always a reason that a message is being given to you.”
Baylor FitWell launched the Punch Pass on Sept. 9 as a way to draw more students into being active through fitness classes.
“Students are clearly answering to the demand the world has in need for health professionals, and you certainly see that in the way that they gravitate towards those schools,” Brickhouse said.
“It’s such a robust, multi-pronged kind of approach to community development and helping students be successful,” Engblom said. “It helps [students] feel like Baylor is their home away from home.”

Junior quarterback Nate Bennett had waited two years for his shot at QB1. On Saturday, he made the most of it. With junior quarterback DJ Lagway sidelined following an ankle injury suffered in Baylor’s season opener against Auburn, the junior quarterback got his first chance to lead the Bears as the starter.
No. 20 Baylor volleyball showed heart in its road trip up north. The Bears swept Georgia Tech and New Mexico but fell in three sets to No. 1 Nebraska.

All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The multicultural affairs office was a great idea to create, but unless it continues to strive to include all cultures, it is not doing its duty to our student body. Baylor, November is Native American Heritage Month; right this wrong.

Originally, I did not plan to rush — until a couple of weeks before the registration deadline. It is the best decision I have ever made in my college experience.
Your faith is yours alone, and you shouldn’t have to participate in certain events just because “everyone does it” in order to prove the level of a Christian you are.
Even if it makes me look weird, I will continue to reach out to new people and interact with others. It is always important to remember to balance work and fun, and for college students, it’s crucial.
