“At this time during the preliminary investigation; it is believed that an equipment failure during the normal production process introduced water into the furnace of molten metal, resulting in a steam explosion,” Soto said.
“Campus safety is a comprehensive effort across the university, so we don’t employ security measures only based on this report. We do it because it’s the right thing to do and a reflection of our caring campus community,” Fogleman said.

No. 17 Baylor soccer picked up its fifth straight win on a header goal by senior midfielder Aryanna Jimison that put it up 2-1. The Bears close non-conference play with an impressive 7-1-0 record.
The last time Baylor won a football game was its 30-3 win over UCF on homecoming. The Bears erased the 315 days since its last victory with their 44-3 win over Prairie View A&M Saturday night.
Junior quarterback Nate Bennett had waited two years for his shot at QB1. On Saturday, he made the most of it. With junior quarterback DJ Lagway sidelined following an ankle injury suffered in Baylor’s season opener against Auburn, the junior quarterback got his first chance to lead the Bears as the starter.

All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The event was created in response to TPUSA’s presence on campus, but speakers and organizers consistently emphasized that the gathering was not merely reactive. Instead, it functioned as a faith-centered call to action, rooted in Christian teaching and expressed through civic engagement.

The third and shortest week of classes thus far has almost concluded. If you’re already drowning in work like I am, here are some upcoming events to ease your tired brain.
You never know what someone is going through, so do something randomly nice for someone, even if it’s small; it could go a long way.
“Courageous Conversations,” Baylor’s 2021 required course on diversity, equity and inclusion, does a phenomenal job of hitting the marks that students need to hear.
In the diversity assignment that all students and faculty have to complete, LGBT was not mentioned in any way, shape or form even once. This school does not care about us, and it constantly proves that.
Within a college environment, students should have the opportunity to engage and collaborate with one another in whichever way they feel best, and they should not have to be isolated within a college campus because they feel as though they have no members of their own faith to confide in.
Without trust or honesty between parents and children, can we really be connected?
But, the danger in the recent course forced upon students is the fact that Baylor attempts to blend the timeless truths of scripture with modern progressive doctrine — a doctrine that, in many ways, completely opposes Christianity.
