“[If you] remind yourself it isn’t real and temper your thoughts… then that can take a little bit of the power away from it, but it definitely still does have an influence,” Bates said.
“Y’all [have] more years ahead of you than the rest of us do, and so I want students to take control,” Henry said. “You have a voice, and I want students to use it.”
After 68 years of Aramark Dining Services within the Baylor dining halls, a big change came. On June 1, Cartwheel Higher Education Dining Services took over as the new leader in food service management on campus.
According to Title IX Education and Prevention Specialist Valerie Willis, more than 50% of sexual assaults on campus nationally are between the start of the fall semester and Thanksgiving break.
“Certain programs will offer classes that fit certain majors,” Whitlark said. “They’re like the one I do. We offer BIC courses, Great Texts courses and religion courses. So, if you’re looking for credits in those areas or you’re interested in those classes that we’re leading in, [choosing our program] is a great opportunity.”

All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The La Fiera de Ojinaga and Los Pescadores del Río Conchos concert has been been rescheduled, but the new date may allow for an outdoor community event.
The multicultural affairs office was a great idea to create, but unless it continues to strive to include all cultures, it is not doing its duty to our student body. Baylor, November is Native American Heritage Month; right this wrong.

In the blink of an eye, it seemed as though I became a senior in college after navigating a global pandemic, dissecting a presidential election and acing classes that were taught in hybrid situations.
