“I really loved getting to work with local shops. I think that’s really cool, being able to collaborate and make custom merchandise for them makes me feel like I’m a part of the local scene,” Meinershagen said.
“If you are a Baylor student, then it doesn’t get more Baylor than this,” Boulder, Colo., senior Avery Ortiz-Hunt said. “We have a faculty student collaboration in this major art exhibit that just shows really what type of work that we all put into the classroom and what we get out of it. So, if that doesn’t prove the Baylor spirit of just being a community and really showcasing what we are learning on a daily basis and who we are learning from, then I don’t know what does.”

When I arrived on the grounds, I really didn’t know what to expect. As a Houston native, I grew up going to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo every year since I was about six years old. It is a time-honored tradition that I have enjoyed so much. So when I saw that Waco had a rodeo that’s considered to be a pretty big deal I knew instantly that I had to check it out.

“Where there is a will, there is a way,” Jordan Phillips, half of duo Apollo LTD, said. “I think that we kind of had a system, a method of creating, that we were pretty accustomed to and when the pandemic hit, it kind of forced us to change up how we did things. When we changed it up, we kind of realized that we could do it this way too.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing our grounds full of smiling faces again,” Chavra Ingram, HOT vice president of marketing and sponsorship development, said. “We missed everybody last year and we are just so excited to be open and have everybody come back this year.”
If you like milk tea, coffee, smoothies or even creme brulee, I would recommend stopping by 1102. The atmosphere is cute, the workers are nice and there are a lot of items on the menu to choose from.

“Just to see the beauty of his creation through something as simple as an indie rock concert,” Mcwhirter said “Whether this turns out to be the biggest concert of the year or just another Common Grounds concert, it is just so cool to see our fraternity come together.”

Right off the bat, before even arriving at Be Kind Coffee, I was immediately captivated by the name. Coffee, to me, is so much more than just a physical drink. It’s a way to experience quality time and community, while sitting in a local coffee shop and spending time with others, so the name seemed highly fitting.
