President Linda Livingstone doesn’t know if she ever would have found Baylor if it had not been for her doctoral dissertation adviser at Oklahoma State University, who, knowing how deeply she prioritized her Christian faith, recommended she apply for a faculty position at Baylor.
While the Baylor Line has been showcasing school spirit on the football field since 1970, the beloved campus tradition has only been open to women for the past 30 years.
Livingstone sent an email to faculty, staff and students to share the initiative to consider the next chapter of Baylor. This effort, known as the Strategic Planning Group, is being co-chaired by Provost Nancy Brickhouse and Livingstone’s Chief of Staff Tiffany Hogue.

However, the board also approved a new program titled “Baylor Benefit,” a financial aid initiative meant to help students whose family income is less than $50,000 per year.
