REDCap allows researchers to build and manage online surveys and databases for large-scale studies. Its biggest feature is its compliance with HIPAA, taking the strain off researchers who may have previously had to manually ensure their data collection kept up with the rigors of the law.
As part of a semester project, Baylor student researchers found that there’s an increase in closeness to God connected to an increase in Bible reading, that sororities are more likely than fraternities to have religiosity and that lower- and working-class students feel less sense of belonging at Baylor.
“I’m a firm believer, and I think many are, of [having] a good process and then [trusting] the process, and I think we have a really good process here,” Villegas said. “So I think in trusting the process, the good process that we have, I think, what will emerge are the things that people genuinely care about.”
