No. 18 Baylor men’s tennis dominated Tulsa with a 4-0 sweep Sunday afternoon inside the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, closing out a strong road performance.
Baylor baseball fell just short of a series sweep Sunday afternoon, dropping a 10-inning battle to Gonzaga 8-7 at Baylor Ballpark. The game featured six lead changes, but four fielding errors proved too much for the Bears (6-1) to overcome.
Baylor softball came up empty at the Mary Nutter Classic, falling to No. 13 Arkansas 8-0 and No. 4 UCLA 6-2 on Saturday at the Field of Dreams Complex in Cathedral City, Calif.
The Bears shot just 36% from the field as the Buffaloes picked up their second Big 12 victory of the season 76-74.
Behind eight more made 3-pointers than Iowa State and 21 forced turnovers, Baylor women’s basketball extended its winning streak to eight, downing the Cyclones 67-52 Saturday afternoon at the Foster Pavilion.

Taking in the California sunshine, Baylor softball split the first day of the Mary Nutter Classic, walking off Nevada 5-4 in eight innings before falling to No. 15 Nebraska 4-1 Thursday at the Field of Dreams Complex in Cathedral City.
For just the third time since 2013, Baylor baseball is off to a 4-0 start. The team looks to keep its winning ways going against Gonzaga for a three-game weekend series at Baylor Ballpark.

Men's Basketball

In late February, Brownell said on the Tigers’ flagship radio station that Big 12 teams would adjust their nonconference schedules to play softer opponents with the idea that more routs would take place. Inked in familiar territory, head coach Scott Drew takes his Bears (24-10) into the round of 32 for the ninth time in his career, and he holds a 5-3 record in those previous contests. However, Drew’s teams have faced second-round exits in back-to-back seasons. But with all the underlying emotions, Drew said that at the end of the day it’s still basketball at the biggest stage.
