After Tchamwa Tchatchoua drilled his first career postseason 3-pointer with 1:16 to play, Sacks found his first with 22 seconds remaining. Sacks’ 3-pointer marked the 16th of the night, which tied a postseason program record and notched the 92nd point which also marked the highest scoring output for the Bears (24-10) in an NCAA Tournament game in school history.
The only team in the country to be a No. 3 seed or higher in each of the last four NCAA Tournaments, three-seeded Baylor men’s basketball did so with four new starters. Now, the Bears roll into a round of 64 matchup against No. 14 seed Colgate, which is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. on Friday at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.

Junior Brittney Griner became the first NCAA Division I women’s basketball player to eclipse 2,000 points and 500 blocks in a career as the No. 1 Lady Bears beat Kansas State on Saturday in Manhattan, Kan. Griner had 29 points in the victory.
Tennis
After competing separately for the majority of the semester, Baylor women’s tennis reunites to finish up its fall season at the Texas A&M Invitational this weekend.
Baylor freshman tennis player Alina Shcherbinina made it to the second round of the U.S. Open Junior Tennis Championships, featuring the top sixteen juniors in the world.
Baylor women’s tennis competed in the four-day H-E-B Invitational in which multiple Bears made their debuts.
Golf
The rays of light in the Sunshine State seemed to be missing the Baylor Lady Bears. Tuesday the women’s golf team finished 14th out of 15 in the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. This came on the heels of finishing 11th of 17 last week in the UCF Invitational in Sorrento, Fla.
A top-five finish to start the spring season is what the Baylor men’s golf team comes back to Waco with, from the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio.
Toughness. That’s what Baylor women’s golf head coach Sylvia Ferdon is stressing to her team entering the spring portion of the season. Coming off one of the worst winters in her 17 seasons at Baylor, she told her team it was imperative to have mental toughness going into the season and stay the course.
