Men's Basketball
The only team in the country to be a No. 3 seed or higher in each of the last four NCAA Tournaments, three-seeded Baylor men’s basketball did so with four new starters. Now, the Bears roll into a round of 64 matchup against No. 14 seed Colgate, which is scheduled for 11:40 a.m. on Friday at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn.
Baylor redshirt sophomore guard Langston Love must have picked up pennies on the tails side or walked under ladders growing up. Love is out for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament with a series of ankle injuries, and the setback came after dealing with a torn ACL his freshman year, followed by an eye injury down the stretch of the 2022-23 season.
March Madness feels different when you’ve been there before. For those inexperienced mid-major teams that are making their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, there’s probably a feeling of “We’re just happy to be here.”
Women's Basketball
Baylor women’s basketball headed back on the road looking to keep its dominance in true road games intact. However, the Bears were no match for Oklahoma State University as they fell in historic fashion 77-56.
The Bears couldn’t withstand the Sooners’ late-game rally, as OU walked away with a 98-92 win in overtime Tuesday night in the Ferrell Center.
The Bears rolled into Ames, Iowa and knocked off the No. 12 Cyclones 76-70 Saturday evening in the Hilton Coliseum.
Equestrian
A donation by a member of the Baylor Board of Regents has contributed more than half of the $900,000 cost for a new equestrian building.
Baylor, along with two other schools, united the movement to rename the sport formerly known as competitive cheer. Acrobatics and tumbling is currently supported by six inaugural members in its bid for recognition by the NCAA as an emerging sport.

Tennis
Baylor women’s tennis competed in the four-day H-E-B Invitational in which multiple Bears made their debuts.
After five years at Baylor, and serving this past season as the interim head coach, Michael Woodson is now officially in charge of the men’s tennis program.
Baylor’s men’s tennis added it’s 10th conference tournament championship win, second-consecutive, defeating the Texas Longhorns on Monday.
Golf
Both the men’s and women’s golf teams are in the middle of their seasons, each in different situations but both working toward a postseason appearance.
The men’s golf team dominated its competition Monday and Tuesday in the Charleston Shootout, taking home the first-place crown in a tournament for the first time since 2009. It was a landslide victory for the Bears, who won the Charleston, S.C., tournament by 14 strokes.
The rays of light in the Sunshine State seemed to be missing the Baylor Lady Bears. Tuesday the women’s golf team finished 14th out of 15 in the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. This came on the heels of finishing 11th of 17 last week in the UCF Invitational in Sorrento, Fla.
