Behind an ornate door and countless stained glass windows is a little-known place where Baylor students can tie the knot.
In Waco, conversations about the climate and sustainability take place in local-led and city-led groups. Two groups that gather monthly to discuss these topics are Waco Friends of the Climate and the Sustainable Action Work Group.
According to a Baylor email announcement sent to all faculty and staff on March 26, the cost of student meal plans has increased steadily with inflation, allowing for institutional subsidies on faculty and staff dining to remain the same for nearly two decades. However, due to inflation, the university has decided to raise faculty and staff dining rates.
“Any kind of medical volunteering is very highly considered by medical schools, especially if you’re investing so much time,” Selkin said. “A week may not seem like a long time, but you are investing a week of your summer to go to a foreign country, probably somewhere that you’ve never been before, maybe a language that you don’t speak. That is a great chance to talk about cultural immersion and diversity. It’s a great opportunity to expand not only what you know but to see what else is out there.”
If anyone walked by the Bill Daniel Student Center Wednesday evening and smelled dumplings or felt the drums in their chest, it was just a taste of the cultural celebration taking place inside.

Once upon a time, four artistic, eclectic and energetic roommates decided to translate their accumulated list of inside jokes and philosophies into a sonic scrapbook. Now, straight from the belly of U Pointe on Speight, the group has just released a debut nine-song album titled “808s & Roommates.”
While course evaluations happen every semester and hold nothing new for students, Covid-19 has played a significant role in how classes were taught this semester. Keep in mind that professors have no more control over a global pandemic or how the university reacts than you do.
