“Baylor does a really good job of inviting seminaries that are really diverse in terms of theological dispositions,” Dean said. “In my conversations with the different representatives, realizing and getting to understand more of the heart behind each individual seminary. They all have, yes, one central mission, but also unique missions to their seminary, to their institutions.”

“I think by offering this course and making it permanent, Baylor is offering an important counterweight to the excessive focus that has existed for Russia for decades … at this institution,” Kudelia said. “The war is only a reminder of how significant this region is for the world, but Russia is not going to go away, and Ukraine is not going to go away. And the problem that we have in Russian and Ukrainian relationships are problems that will not be solved easily over the next couple of months or years.”

The symposium will include presentations, talks and posters on completed research, in-progress research and research ideas. According to the digital flyer for the symposium, any undergraduate currently conducting research and any graduate student with a poster or presentation, are encouraged to apply to the sessions by submitting an abstract using the QR code before the submission deadline of April 12.

In 2023, the average couple spends roughly $29,000 on their wedding, $1,000 more than what it was back in 2022. Prices have increased mainly because of inflation and the costs of goods and services rising as well but they mainly depend by state and by the number of guests that are invited to the wedding.

The sorority’s overall goal for the year is to raise $200,000 to go toward their philanthropy. DHOP costed $10 for an event pass and those who paid received pancakes and their names put into a raffle to earn a gift card and other prizes. Along with these, the event included merchandise such as t-shirts and stickers that were designed by a local St. Jude’s patient.

Rumors spread on social media that same afternoon that someone had pulled a gun around the apartment complex, to which Waco PD spokesperson Cierra shipley said via email no weapon was located at the time of the arrest. The initial reason for the first 911 call to the apartment complex is currently unknown.

Today, Dia is known for hosting a plethora of on-campus events for students, and is also typically used as an opportunity for students to get off campus and spend time with friends. This year’s Dia started off with an intramural tournament at 9 a.m., featuring games such as wiffleball, pickleball, cornhole and archery tag.

The three finalists for the 2024 award, Dr. Jay Banner, Dr. Claire Katz and Dr. Kelly Lambert, were selected from a pool of nominees by a committee of Baylor faculty. The committee evaluates the strategies the faculty use to build relationships with their students to help them connect to the content they are studying.
