    Lariat TV News: Stolen bikes, softball player overcomes injury and total eclipse

    This week we’re showing you how one student took matters into his own hands to reclaim his stolen property.

    We’ll also tell you how to keep your eyes safe during the eclipse and how some of Waco’s most popular spots are getting ready for the crowds flocking to the city.

    In sports, one softball player is stepping up for her team in a big way and Baylor women’s basketball is officially out of the NCAA Tournament.

    Kaity Kempf is a senior from Temple, Texas. She is on her way to graduating with a major in journalism and concentration in advertising, as well as a minor in french. This is her third year working with LTVN, and first time being managing editor after years of reporting and anchoring. She also works with the local broadcast news station, KWTX News 10. She is excited to cover all things Baylor and close out her senior year with her team.
