OKLAHOMA CITY — Baylor routed Kansas State 11-2 in the Big 12 baseball tournament to advance to play Oklahoma and eliminate Kansas State.

With the win, Baylor reached 124-23 in the “big four” sports of football, baseball and men’s and women’s basketball, a combined win record in the NCAA era.

Top-seeded Baylor (44-13) scored twice in both the first and second innings and got strong pitching from starter Tyler Bremer (6-1) who gave up just two runs in eight innings for the win Friday.

K-State starter Robert Youngdahl (2-2) gave up four runs — two earned — in 1 2-3 innings and took the loss.

Big 12 player of the year Josh Ludy hit a two-run homer during a four-run eighth as Baylor broke the game open.

OU beat Baylor 3-2 Thursday and the two teams play again Saturday morning. An OU win eliminates Baylor while a Baylor win would force an elimination game between the two teams Saturday afternoon.
