The Bears opened conference play Friday night with a 1-0 loss to in-state rival Texas Tech. The Red Raiders’ only score came off a penalty kick by senior forward Peyton Parsons.

After getting shut out by West Virginia 2-0 on Sunday, Baylor soccer is trying to pick up the pieces if they want to go any further this season. Now, the Bears travel to Utah for a pair of matchups against BYU and Utah. Kickoff against BYU is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Thursday at South Field in Provo.

Making the most of limited opportunities and slowing down No. 22 TCU’s steady attack, Baylor soccer was able to come away with its second draw against a nationally ranked team this week, landing a 1-1 tie against the Horned Frogs Sunday afternoon at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field.
