Trial lawyers Roberta Liebenberg and Stephanie Scharf joined a Baylor Roundtable webinar Wednesday afternoon to discuss their study on bullying in the legal profession. The discussion explored workplace dynamics, the impact of bullying on lawyers and ways to foster a more supportive legal environment.

“It’s about we as a collective university and our work here to help students become more the person He’s created them to be –– mind, body and soul,” Jackson said. “Everything we’ve done under my leadership has moved us in that direction.”
Too often are students told to “get a job that will get you the most money” or “you should be just like so-and-so” or “this career is the only one that’s worth it.” These statements are what causes students to become blinded to all of the opportunities that are available to them –– the opportunities that will make them happy and feel like the work they’re doing is worth something.
The program, which targets high-GPA, high standardized test-scoring students, aims to inform invitees of what they can expect from their Baylor faculty and mentors.
“I’ve met some of my best friends here,” White said. “It’s a really special community where you get to do a job you love, talk about a school you love, with a bunch of friends you love.”
The national competition will take place in Norfolk, Va., from Feb. 22-23. The Ethics Bowl team will be competing with 36 other undergraduate teams from around the nation and will discuss issues from a range of potential cases including tipping culture, hostile architecture and parental rights.

“I love to research and I love to write. And this is a place where I can use those gifts and also help students as they discover their own calling,” Myers said.
Even if your thankfulness is a choice this Thanksgiving, we encourage you to find something that has been a blessing in your life this year and to focus your gratitude toward that gift. We here at the Ed Board decided to do the same.

On Nov. 12, Waco Mayor Jim Holmes met with Ross as well as Wichita and Affiliated Tribes President Amber Silverhorn Wolfe to talk about the possibility of a history center for the tribe in Waco since their roots are tied to the city — the tribe was forcibly removed in August 1859.
“It is all for the kingdom of heaven. We’re hoping that people can come this afternoon and maybe hear about the gospel for the first time ever,” Trawick said.
A Season of Thanksgiving is Baylor’s university-wide campaign that encourages the Baylor community to take time to express gratitude for the people and blessings in their lives. One of the activities on campus that is encouraging a reflection of gratefulness is writing notes of appreciation.

Don’t let your friends of all things be what’s stressing you out and causing issues. Even if it’s difficult or uncomfortable, weed out the bad friends in your life. In the end, it will improve your quality of life.
“Mary has poured so much of her heart and passion into her clothing brand, Joyful, to spread the same message of the joy that is found in Christ,” Ellsworth said. “I know she has impacted so many people through her brand, and I’m so lucky to have walked alongside her and to see the way that she continues to inspire others.”
While many Kamala Harris supporters may blame her loss on America being a racist or sexist nation, the true reason Harris lost the election was her inability to appeal to the average voter or separate herself from the failures of the Biden administration.
“UIF stands out as a chance for student advocacy and definitely brings a global connection to Baylor,” Friend said. “It really has a holistic approach in trying to solve these problems on campus, where we’re really trying to emphasize the student voice.”
“It is great having family tradition in the same school,” Linda said. “It doesn’t matter where you’re from. You still see people you know, everyone coming together. Ever since we graduated, we’ve come back to homecoming just about every year.”
Sharing a birthday with the university itself, Baylor chapel was created for students to find their faith community — a mission that has continued to this day.
Baylor’s 2025 United Way Campaign celebrates 100 years of United Way of Waco-McLennan County giving back to the McLennan County community. To celebrate and honor this accomplishment, the name for Baylor’s campaign this year is “100 for 100!” and the goal is to raise $100,000 among the Baylor community.
“It is so easy to get trapped inside the ‘Baylor Bubble,’” Roehm said. “I have so many stories of site owners who are beyond grateful for Baylor students coming and doing the things that they are no longer able to do, such as the elderly who can no longer do yard work anymore.”

If you have never picked up a golf club and you’re a business major, add golf lessons and golf clubs to your Christmas list. And if you already play golf as a business major, keep practicing. Nothing is more embarrassing than shooting a 107 with a potential client.
Would a stranger know you were a Christian if you didn’t tell them? Don’t let the verse speak for you. Your actions will speak for themselves.
With all the promotion Baylor does for the event, the preparation of updating and perfecting resumes and the careful selection of a professional outfit the night before, I would hope the event would be worth my time. But each year my hopes are dashed by the lack of options for journalism majors.
