“There’s different levels to the hurt we’re all going through. Some of us are better at putting it away and hiding it than others,” Ash said. “Just be mindful of your audience. Don’t really throw words around just to seem cool or knowledgable.”
“They feel empowered by the strength and wisdom that they have collected over the years,” Moody-Ramirez said. “Many times they feel that it would be wrong to keep this wisdom to themselves, so they feel led to either share it on social media platforms or in books. Many of them, like Grace, end up doing both.”
“I think we need to stay on the track of not trying to force anything; I just hope that Christians aren’t trying to exactly replicate what’s happening in Asbury and that they’re trying to have their own mix and really trying to worship God in their own way,” Baker said.
“With my previous experience in many different fields, it has allowed me to show students how they can use their skills in a variety of different careers,” English said, “I am so grateful to have the opportunity to help students along their journey.”
“Having student ambassadors helps create a welcoming and supportive space for the international community at Baylor University,” Hoye said. “Ambassadors tell us that they apply because they want to serve the incoming international students at Baylor, and their passion shows through the countless ways they help both incoming and current international students and scholars.”
