Monday’s 101-63 loss to Gonzaga marked Baylor’s largest-ever loss as an AP Top-10 team. The previous low-water mark was set against Marquette in 2022 (26 pts). It’s the Bears’ largest margin of defeat overall since a 91-51 loss to unranked Oklahoma on Jan. 20, 2007.

When junior forward Tyler Isgrig gave No. 10 Baylor soccer a lead in the 5th minute against No. 2 Texas Tech, the Bears were firing on all cylinders. It was the quickest goal of the season for the green and gold, but the hot start ended in frustration as the Red Raiders scored two goals in the first half and knocked off Baylor, 2-1, in the Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ten years from kicker Chris Callahan’s historic last-second game-winning field goal to knock off TCU 61-58, redshirt junior kicker Isaiah Hankins replicated the magic with a 33-yard field goal as time expired to help Baylor football knock off their in-state rival, 37-34, on Saturday night at McLane Stadium.

No. 17 Baylor Volleyball added another game to the win column with a 3-0 sweep against Colorado Friday night in the Ferrell Center, 26-24, 25-16, 25-20. Senior outside hitter Elise McGhee continued her dominant hitting streak, tallying 24 kills in only three sets.

Looking to claim a three-game winning streak for the first time since 2022, Baylor football will host its first “blackout” since 2016 while celebrating the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Championship before a rivalry game against TCU at 7 p.m. Saturday at McLane Stadium.

After an injury-riddled 2024 season, some familiar faces at Baylor Ballpark have worked their way back onto the field for Baylor baseball during fall ball and established themselves as cornerstones heading into the 2025 season.
