While the much-anticipated Thanksgiving break approaches, many Baylor sports are still in full swing. There aren’t any events on Thanksgiving Day, but no need to worry: If you have a craving for more Baylor Athletics, it can be cured by a stacked slate of green and gold over the rest of the weeklong break.

After weeks of anticipation and nail-biting battles on the gridiron, the College Football Playoff Committee named its first Top 25 rankings of the year, including No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Florida State for the top four.

While it’s still early on, did the committee get it right? Here are the reactions from three members of the Baylor Lariat.

Homecoming has rolled around for Baylor football, and the team is looking to bring its road success back to McLane Stadium. Playing in Waco hasn’t treated the Bears well, as they’re 1-4 in their home venue. This comes during a season in which Baylor leads the nation with eight home games.

Let me preface what’s to come with a statement I truly believe – Dave Aranda is an elite defensive coordinator with a great knowledge of the game and has the makings of a successful head coach. With that said, I don’t think he resembles a ‘successful’ head coach in the modern collegiate game.
