Students across campus gathered to support “Kicks for CASA” Saturday evening at the BSB fields, raising funds for children in the foster care system. Although many teams competed, Sigma Alpha Epsilon took home the championship.

What began as a creative pastime during high school has turned into a heartfelt business for sophomore Sivan Katzav, who designs and sells handmade jewelry through her small business, Liana Faith Boutique.
“We take for granted the stability we have,” Ashley said. “CASA gives kids a constant figure in their lives when everything else is changing.”

CASA is a national nonprofit that trains people to speak on behalf of children in foster care in court. CASA of McLennan County, located two miles from Baylor, is dedicated to fulfilling this mission in the Waco area.
The event will consist of sports tournaments and more, that are available to any students that come with a team formed. Their overall goal is to raise $10,000 in support of their philanthropies; American Red Cross and CASA.
