Growing up in Raleigh, N.C., Baylor men’s tennis head coach Michael Woodson was not interested in playing tennis until the seventh grade when his mom convinced him to pick up a spare racket and try out for the junior varsity team.
“Never forget [tennis] is always about joy, love and gratitude,” Kubacha said. “I’m really trying to always remind my teammates about it because I think it’s the most important.”
Golf
The Bears battled back from their rough start on Friday, but No. 23 Oklahoma State University took home the Big 12 championship on Sunday at the Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas.
Junior Rosie Belsham said there’s no doubt in her mind that the Bears “are 100% the best team in the Big 12.”
Freshman Rosie Belsham secured her third-straight top-five finish and helped the Bears place seventh at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
