The LatinX Association for Science and Health is encouraging students to put on their tennis shoes and head to Fountain Mall on Sunday afternoon for a kickball tournament to raise funds for La Puerta, a local nonprofit that provides education to the Hispanic and Latino population in Waco.
Known as “The Urban Rescue Ranch” on social media, Christie’s nonprofit has amassed 4.2 million TikTok followers, 2.92 million YouTube subscribers and 701,000 Instagram followers since 2020. The Urban Rescue Ranch is now doing business as Waco Wildlife Rescue and is looking for Baylor student volunteers to help with animal care and social media.
Baylor’s summer REC camp serves Baylor faculty and staff by offering a day camp for children aged 6 to 12, all while providing a summer job for Baylor students.

Baylor decided to try to win the game with a 2-point conversion with nine seconds remaining. The Bears fell inches short of the game-winning conversion, dropping the season opener to Auburn.

All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The event was created in response to TPUSA’s presence on campus, but speakers and organizers consistently emphasized that the gathering was not merely reactive. It’s staycation weekend, which means it’s time to take a rest from two weeks of labor and scout out the Waco scene. Here are some activities to get you out, about and away from that assignment you’ve been stuck on.
