“Policymakers need to look at TikTok as a systemic social media issue and create effective measures that protect children online,” said Dr. Jason Nagata in a January UCSF article covering the study. “TikTok is the most popular social media platform for children, yet kids reported having more than three different social media accounts, including Instagram and Snapchat.”

The Rural Health Equity Research Collaborative is a research lab led by undergraduate students to help alleviate healthcare shortages in medically underserved communities. The group of students in the lab work with communities to introduce healthcare careers to middle school aged children.

“Everyone believed we [were] going to win; I did, and we fought to try and get that win,” said Aranda. “Guys were playing through pain, discomfort, and all that. All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. Students deserve to know if they are at risk walking at certain hours of the day, whether at 12:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. Everyone should be well-informed and prepared in case of an emergency.

A mere three or four semesters of a language course is not enough time to attain proficiency or fluency in any language. At the very least, the language requirement for the College of Arts and Sciences should be lowered to two semesters, in order to be consistent with the other colleges that require a foreign language.

Many believe this area of the industry capitalizes on victims’ trauma and often, their deaths. TV producers, actors, streaming services and more make money off of the worst things imaginable.
