We are in the final stretch of the semester, and the monthlong holiday break is within reach. With that in mind, the Arts & Life desk would like to share our favorite Christmas crafts that you must try this holiday season.

The infamous “no-makeup” makeup look has been trending across social media platforms. It is under the umbrella of the “clean girl aesthetic” that has become very popular. It can be easy to compare or feel left out when you see influencers creating these looks and living this clean/aesthetic lifestyle, but truthfully, it’s easy to achieve.

With Thanksgiving just a week away, it only feels right that we talk about everyone’s favorite part of the day: the food. The A&L desk would like to share our favorite Thanksgiving sides and possibly inspire you to include them in your celebration.

“I know that this is a trend, but we try to continuously find new things to keep people interested,” Walker said. “I foresee in the future maybe adding different things, I’m just not really sure right now, but we do keep thinking out of the box to keep it interesting and keep the momentum going.”

In honor of the season, the A&L staff would like to share some of our favorite holiday traditions. If there are some that pique your interest, don’t hesitate to incorporate them into your holidays!

The movie picks up significantly after the first third, becoming infinitely more interesting if you can stand to wait through Tom’s half-hearted courtship of Marion that is after all, a ruse to spend more time with Patrick in public, to see it.

On a dark Halloween night, a crescent moon hung low overhead as an autumnal breeze blew costumed concertgoers like Cruella de Vil, Spider-Man and Princess Peach to Jones Concert Hall for a Halloween Organ Concert that was sure to cause Waco’s ghosts and ghouls to stir.

Halloween weekend is quickly approaching, and what better way to get into the spirit than a spooky playlist? The A&L staff has compiled our favorite Halloween anthems into an easily accessible playlist for any of your weekend festivities.

“It’s more just like, for the joy of doing it, and a lot of my stuff shares the gospel with people,” Bowden said. “So I think that that’s a really big part of it is like, not only am I like selling fun, cute little stickers, but they also each one I make has a message behind it.”

“You’re going to find a little bit of everything here at the rodeo,” Melissa said. “Whether you’re looking for western wear, you want a custom-shaped hat, you want some 100%-covered-in-rhinestone boots, we’re going to have that. Also, we are talking about salsas and homemade chocolates and home décor, even furniture made out of whiskey barrels.”

“When I went into this, I didn’t think that I would be as successful as fast as it’s been happening,” Smith said. “I obviously have more goals that I want to achieve. But so far, I feel really proud of what I’ve accomplished.”
