In October 1950, the national fraternity Alpha Chi Omega conducted a campus-wide poll to determine the ugliest man on campus. Beyond the title of Mr. Ugly, the winner would receive bountiful gifts, including “the perfect weekend,” consisting of a lavish date, a luxurious sports car and a feature in the Baylor Homecoming Parade to promote the competition.

Fall is here, homecoming is around the corner and the Livingstones hosted their annual homecoming dinner for the Baylor community on Wednesday evening. Food trucks lined Third Street, grills were fired up and students lined up from Allbritton House to Marrs McLean.

The student regent attends all meetings of the Board of Regents and advocates for the best interests of the student body. The student must also demonstrate a high level of knowledge about relevant issues and Baylor’s desire to fulfill the obligation.
