It’s easy to play the blame game in the midst of something so terrible, but pointing fingers doesn’t help anyone right now. Some Californians have lost everything in these fires. What should be the focus of peoples’ conversations and efforts is how to help, not who to blame.

So many of our day-to-day goods are outsourced internationally. Abusing sweatshops, cheap labor and raw material costs from other countries only hurts us. If we push our legislation to promote more domestic manufacturing, not only are we boosting our own economy, we are providing Americans with job opportunities and a sense of pride by producing domestically-made materials.
The course represents a new kind of offering from the Center for Global Engagement, in that it gives students of all academic backgrounds an experiential learning opportunity with a domestic company known for its efficiency and innovation.
The national competition will take place in Norfolk, Va., from Feb. 22-23. The Ethics Bowl team will be competing with 36 other undergraduate teams from around the nation and will discuss issues from a range of potential cases including tipping culture, hostile architecture and parental rights.

It matters very little if you like Hegseth’s politics or you don’t. We should all be able to recognize that a seasoned military leader with senior experience is desperately needed. Rhetoric isn’t enough. Words alone don’t win wars. Leadership qualities, knowledge of military tactics and a high level of experience do. As it stands, Hegseth hasn’t shown that he has any of these traits, and defense secretary is too important a position to roll the dice on an outside hire.

Being a college athlete is incredibly mentally challenging but what most people don’t realize is what all goes into being great and making it within the ecosystem of student athletes.

Adversity can oftentimes rattle and break the morale of teams. This is not the case, though, head coach Michael Woodson and Baylor men’s tennis. They have learned from their first-round postseason exit against San Diego last year and are hungry to take on the 2025 season after a dominant fall.

The club is welcome to students of any major and art level, and Rigmaiden said that they are planning to have future presentations on “sculptures, installations and the artist’s workspace, as well as possibly an art fair where anyone in the club would be able to sell their own work.”

So, do yourself a favor this semester by breaking out of that endless cycle and checking out some of these arts and entertainment events put on by fellow classmates and peers and snag some CAE credits while you’re at it.
