Known for introducing the word “robot” to English, the play imagines a world where artificial workers serve humanity — until the robots rise against their creators, forcing audiences to confront questions about ambition, artificial intelligence and what it means to be human.

Aranda said the company that overtook Grubhub has been slowly getting rid of the robots. The Starbucks in Moody Library no longer uses them due to the number of complaints received in the past about the quality and efficiency of the robots.

Our world is a consistently evolving place, and there’s no telling how technology will affect our future. So, as a society, it might be best to accept it and learn how it can help us.

The Mayborn Museum Complex brings together man and machine with the new “Robots + Us” traveling exhibit.

The exhibit, rented from the Science Museum of Minnesota, was displayed in Amarillo last fall and arrived at Mayborn for the exhibit’s grand opening last Saturday.
