The U.S. News annual best colleges report was released last Tuesday, ranking Baylor among the best in the nation for undergraduate education and first-year experience.

“A lot of students want to have their pictures taken [at Founders Mall] because of how pretty it is, and how Baylor-esque it is. And so with not being able to go around there at all, you have to re-plan your entire set of locations and rethink how you can still have a Baylor senior photo shoot without a location that’s so central to Baylor,” campus photographer Catherine Kramer said.
“It’s a very ambitious plan, but it’s the right plan for Baylor at this time,” Brickhouse said.
President Linda Livingstone doesn’t know if she ever would have found Baylor if it had not been for her doctoral dissertation adviser at Oklahoma State University, who, knowing how deeply she prioritized her Christian faith, recommended she apply for a faculty position at Baylor.
With the help of physical therapy staff, Livingstone said she feels even better than she did before the surgery. After only eight weeks of recovery, she said it will only continue to get better.
Students across Baylor’s campus were able to join the ceremony to watch history unfold. Some walking between classes stopped to watch the event and see the unveiling of the statues first-hand.
“When we come together as a group of women, I’ve seen that voice have a real effect and a growing effect across campus,” Pond said. “We’ve been heard across campus, we’re listened to, and we’ve been able to make a difference.”
