According to Magnolia, Ark. junior Olivia Claire Smith, Chi Omega president, repeat Sing performers bring the enthusiasm of the previous year’s performance. In the case of Chi Omega, which put on a top act last year, returning performers may help start a winning dynasty.

After weeks and even months of choreographing, practicing and dancing ‘til they drop, the performers of Pigskin had their moment of glory tonight. After the homecoming court was announced and the curtain was dropped, it was showtime.
Today is the day when some of the best acts from February’s All-University Sing will return to Waco Hall for the annual Pigskin Revue. Tonight at 7 p.m. — opening night — Kappa Omega Tau, Chi Omega, Phi Kappa Chi, Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Tau Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Tau Kappa Epsilon and Sing Alliance will take to the stage.
Similarly, Houston sophomore Annabeth Slagle who plays a flapper said she ends up going to Pigskin practice for multiple hours a day, Sunday through Wednesday. Even though she has ample prior experience in studio dance, Slagle said performing in Sing and Pigskin is much more challenging than expected.
This week’s list of what to do in Waco is a little less musical and a little more mysterious. Whether you’re into ghost tours or murder mysteries, there’s a little something for all who are ready to embrace spooky season.
In the last few years, there have only been a select few performances that have featured sports or fitness as the main theme. However, they have all been rather unique and interesting performances, each with their own style.
According to Baylor Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment, just because a woman registers and participates in rush week does not guarantee that she will receive a bid and be able to join a sorority.
The event will consist of sports tournaments and more, that are available to any students that come with a team formed. Their overall goal is to raise $10,000 in support of their philanthropies; American Red Cross and CASA.
“Greek life is so different at Baylor compared to other schools — we have spring recruitment, no houses, heavy influence of religion and specifically, Baylor vernacular and fashion trends,” Olson said.
Baylor Greek Life has changed substantially since its early days, with national affiliations providing opportunities for networking and growth.

The opening act of Pigskin is always one way for crowds to generate excitement for the homecoming festivities ahead, and this year has participants and viewers alike looking forward to a weekend of talented musicians, colorful costumes and sleek choreography.
Kappa Alpha Theta’s annual Denim Dash is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday in Kappa Alpha Theta’s chapter room in The Stacy Riddle Forum. Fashion boutiques will have clothes on sale and part of the profits will go to Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Sing 2011 was filled with awesome sets, great themes and much improvement. We’ve made some observations on each of the acts. They aren’t meant to be rude — they’re meant to highlight the good and point out the areas that need improvement. Thanks to all the performers for their hard work.
