No. 18 Baylor men’s tennis dominated Tulsa with a 4-0 sweep Sunday afternoon inside the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, closing out a strong road performance.
Baylor baseball fell just short of a series sweep Sunday afternoon, dropping a 10-inning battle to Gonzaga 8-7 at Baylor Ballpark. The game featured six lead changes, but four fielding errors proved too much for the Bears (6-1) to overcome.
Baylor softball came up empty at the Mary Nutter Classic, falling to No. 13 Arkansas 8-0 and No. 4 UCLA 6-2 on Saturday at the Field of Dreams Complex in Cathedral City, Calif.
The Bears shot just 36% from the field as the Buffaloes picked up their second Big 12 victory of the season 76-74.
Behind eight more made 3-pointers than Iowa State and 21 forced turnovers, Baylor women’s basketball extended its winning streak to eight, downing the Cyclones 67-52 Saturday afternoon at the Foster Pavilion.

Taking in the California sunshine, Baylor softball split the first day of the Mary Nutter Classic, walking off Nevada 5-4 in eight innings before falling to No. 15 Nebraska 4-1 Thursday at the Field of Dreams Complex in Cathedral City.
For just the third time since 2013, Baylor baseball is off to a 4-0 start. The team looks to keep its winning ways going against Gonzaga for a three-game weekend series at Baylor Ballpark.

Drew’s Lone Star legacy was cemented into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame over the weekend.
“My dad always impressed me, the older he got, the more it was about his student-athletes and what kind of men, fathers and husbands they are,” Drew said. “When past players come in, to hear about their success and how they’re doing, personally I care most about that.”

After using the nickname Lady Bears for over 50 years, the Baylor women’s basketball team will drop “Lady” from its nickname in an effort to be more consistent with the other athletic programs.
Sophia Young-Malcolm, newly appointed assistant AD for player development for the Lady Bears, is a Texas Sports Hall of Famer. Young-Malcolm was inducted as part of the 2020-21 class with seven additional inductees. She is now among a long list of very impressive Texas athletes, each with their own incredible story.
The Lady Bears are using summer workouts to give the offense a new look heading into the season.
